How we do it...
STEP 1
We begin by forming the footers on a leveled foundation hole, provided by the builder. If necessary, HLC can also provide the excavation for the foundation. Only the finest, name-brand, proven products are used in the foundation construction. The forming of the footer is done above grade and laser leveled for a very accurate foundation.
STEP 2
Steel reinforcing bars are placed both horizontally and vertically. The aluminum forming system is set in place forming the basement walls. We use the premier Tuf-N-Lite forming systems which allows for quick and precise forming of all walls, corners and bond beams. Brick ledges are set to the customer requirements. After the walls are formed, any beam pockets, access openings, or other special needs are performed.
STEP 3
After all walls are plumbed, aligned, and oiled, a boom type concrete pump is used to place the 3,500 psi concrete. Anchor bolts are set in place and the concrete is allowed to set up overnight. The following day, the forms are stripped and the foundation is ready for waterproofing.
STEP 4
HLC is a certified installer of GMX waterproofing products. All residential foundations are waterproofed using the Ultra-Shield WB waterproofing system. The system consists of a spray-on 60 mil thick membrane and covered with a 3/4 inch thick drainage board to protect the liner during backfill and allow for water to drain to the integral perimeter drain.
All of this is accomplished in about a week! Imagine, the strongest foundation with a 30 year warranted dry basement ready to frame in one week. That provides you the builder, with peace of mind, and a real competitive edge in the marketplace. Give us a call and let us quote your next foundation.
